About Capitol Medical Group

Incorporated in 1987 by Dr. Richard L. Jones, Capitol Medical Group (CMG) provides care for patients from birth to thirty-five years.  Our philosophy is to treat the child's needs, as well as those of the family with traditional western (allopathic) medicine. CMG is also sensitive to the cultural uniqueness of our families and, as such, we are open to alternative forms of medicine and therapies.

CMG consists of  eight doctors, one lactation consultant, and approximately 20 nursing and medical support staff. Our physicians have hospital privileges at: Sibley Memorial and associations with Georgetown Hospital and Children's Hospital National Medical Center in Washington, DC and with Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD.

At CMG, we are proud to offer the broadest and most varied collection of pediatric experience and knowledge in the Washington area. Our patients benefit from the specialized training and expertise of our practitioners in areas such as, developmental pediatrics, adolescent medicine, sports medicine, infectious disease, lactation, etc..

FLU SEASON IS BACK! SCHEDULE YOUR VACCINE NOW
This year CMG will offer both the live attenuated flu vaccine (Flumist), given as a nasal spray; and the killed virus vaccine, Fluzone, given as an injection to our patients and caregivers of our patients under 6 months old.  The vaccine can be given during a scheduled appointment with their doctor, or parents can schedule an appointment during one of our flu vaccine clinics. Flu vaccine clinics will be held between the hours of 9a.m. and noon and 2-3:15p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays starting in mid-September.  A flu clinic appointment will be with a nurse only; patients will not see a doctor at the time of the appointment.   Patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent to the appointment. Call our office after September 1 to schedule a flu vaccine appointment.
CMG follows the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers of Disease Control regarding flu vaccination for people six months and older.
