NEW PARENTS & NEW BABIES New Parents - Welcome and Join us at a Pre-natal Night! Congratulations to New Parents! For expectant parents who are shopping for the right pediatric care for their newborn, Wednesday evening is “Pre-natal Night” at Capitol Medical Group (CMG). Pre-natal Night consists of a 90 minute orientation to CMG. We begin at 5:30pm with an overview of the practice and continue with a tour of the facility. We then set aside time for open dialogue to discuss the issues and concerns on the minds of expecting parents, such as, hospital visits for your newborn, circumcision, the first office visit, support for breastfeeding mothers, etc.. This evening is typically shared with several families. If you are expecting and you would like to learn more about our practice, please call our office at (301) 907-3960, preferably at least two weeks prior to your due date to sign up for a Pre-natal Night. New Babies and Lactation Services Along with medical attention, CMG practitioners provide guidance regarding the every day well-care for your newborn, such as: feeding, bowel movements, bathing, sleeping, crying, etc.. For extensive public information on these and other subjects, visit the Virtual House Calls page to access popular websites. Lactation Consultant & Services Holly McClain is CMG's Lactation Consultant (LC). She is a healthcare provider extensively trained in the breastfeeding process and certified to educate and help moms establish and reach their personal breastfeeding goals. At or around the time of the newborn's first visit with the pediatrician, Holly will check on the feeding progress for mother and baby.
